I am going to share how to stay motivated to lose weight even when you start to notice the weight coming off slower. It is a common frustration for dieters when the scale doesn’t reflect the hard work you have been doing yet the only way you will not reach your goal is if you get discouraged and give up. If you can spare just a couple of minutes to read this article you will find ways to keep your head in the weight loss game so you can make it to your goal.

How To Stay Motivated To Lose Weight

  1. Don’t focus on the negatives. At any one time during your diet there will be both good and bad things happening, if you choose to focus on the more negative things you will find yourself feeling frustrated and deflated, if however you choose to focus on the positive things such as how much you are benefitting your body and even going into the positive future that your efforts are creating you will feel more alive and motivated to continue.

  2. Get support. When your weight loss is slower then you would like you will benefit greatly from having a friend to share how you are feeling. This can be a person you know personally or you might have a friend online who you talk with through a discussion board, either way the support helps you stay on track.

  3. Remind yourself specifically why you want this weight loss. If you lose sight of your goal you will likely feel like quitting, instead remind yourself why this is so important to you. Do you have a special occasion coming up? Do you want to be healthy and happy so you can play with your kids or grandkids? Find that strong reason and you will strengthen your motivation.

Use these ideas on how to stay motivated to lose weight even when your weight loss is slow and you will move through this challenge and find yourself thrilled when you arrive at your goal weight.
